5 Placement Mistakes to Avoid |

#1 Starting Late
• The most naive way of strategising your placement prep is to start preparing for it a few days before your coming interviews.
• Going by such a mindset will not land good jobs to more than 95% of the students as there are a lot many things which just don't need memorising but actual practice.
#2 Living in a Bubble
• Many aspirants just read a few case books and believe that they can easily solve any case interview which they will appear, this happens majorly because he/she just keeps on going things at an individual level without any outside voice/ guidance which brings this strong bias that turns out to be very harmful.
#3 Practise Over Anything Else
• Reading is just one aspect of preparation which people confuse with the entire preparation and thus they don't practice what they have read/listened.
• This is the only reason why people falter and feel less confident during interviews even if they know what the correct answer is.
#4 Going the Bookish Way
• The truest essence of case interviews is to test your creativity and awareness about issues going around the world but due to constrained preparation through static material defeats the purpose and hence your chance of getting a conversion.
• Imposing frameworks just because you know one is the classic example of such a mistake.
#5 Not Reading Relatable Content
• Yet another commonly observed mistake among the aspirants is that they read foreign case booklets which in and of itself is of no harm but many students who don't how to apply the learnings from such a place in the given settings of their own country (Most case interviews by default have problems that your country/ it's stakeholder faces) end up not acing their attempts.
